We know not everyone has their own backpacking gear and that shouldn’t stop you from joining the adventure. To make HIGHLANDER more accessible, we’ve partnered with Sports Basement to offer high-quality gear rentals at affordable prices. Whether it’s your first multi-day trek or you’d rather not travel with all your gear, we’ve got you covered. Gear up easily - no barriers, just adventure.

Follow the steps below to reserve your gear. Quantities on some items are limited. Reserve early for best selection.

1. Go to the Sports Basement Gear Rentals page HERE and select the first item you need.
2. Choose - How To Get Your Rental. The options are:

• Option 1. Pickup yourself in-store: Choose your preferred location.
• Option 2. The HIGHLANDER staff can pickup and return your order. Select the "Fountain Valley, CA" location (Orange County).

3. Choose - When To Get Your Rental. All HIGHLANDERs should select "Weekend Rate." (This is special pricing for the HIGHLANDER-Big Bear Lake event!)

4. Choose - Select Your Rental Start Date. SELECT JUNE 17 (unless you are picking it up yourself in Step #3).

5. Select item details as applicable.

6. In the "Notes" section, write "HIGHLANDER" so we can track your rental for this event.

• Note: If you don't specify HIGHLANDER, you won't be eligible for special pricing and your order will NOT be picked up by the HIGHLANDER staff.

7. Add to Bag. Continue to select all the items you need. Then pay and complete checkout.

8. If HIGHLANDER staff will pickup your order, you MUST fill out THIS FORM right after completing your order on the Sports Basement website.

For every additional item you add to your rental order, it will automatically match the same location and time frame, so you only have to enter the pickup location and date one time.

If you are choosing to have your rental picked up by the HIGHLANDER staff, you need to complete this form immediately after your rental is confirmed and paid.
