FOOD AND WATER

During your HIGHLANDER Kitzbühel hike, you’ll be provided daily with the finest local and organic meals by “Die Biokaiser”, the official organic model region of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Each day begins with a hearty breakfast to fuel your next stage. You’ll receive a nutritious trail lunch to enjoy while hiking, and in the evening, you’ll be served a warm, seasonal dinner lovingly prepared with high-quality organic ingredients from the region – available as a plant-based or meat-based option.

A true culinary experience that nourishes both body and soul – and shows just how good mindful eating in nature can taste.

Your daily meals are designed to cover the average adult’s nutritional needs.

Participants are encouraged to bring additional snacks or personal food items if needed. We recommend packing items such as trail mix, dried fruits, or other quick snacks to keep your energy up between meals.

Please note: There are no grocery stores or shops along the route, so make sure you come well-prepared.

You must bring your own water to the start (at least 3 liters). Staying hydrated is essential, so always carry enough water with you.

We will provide drinking water for refills at all checkpoints during their opening hours. However, no transport for water will be provided – please bring your own hydration bladders or bottles.

Important: Mountain water is not always safe to drink without treatment. We strongly recommend using water purification methods (tablets, drops, or filters) when refilling from natural sources.

START

As your safety is our number one priority, we reserve the right to check your equipment at the start.

Your start time is the time the shuttle departs Kitzbühel. You will want to arrive early to use the restroom, drop off your luggage, gather your gear, and board the shuttle. The shuttle to the start will leave promptly at the times listed below.
