The route led us through the terraced fields carved into the hillsides and small mountain villages where life moves to a quieter rhythm, all while the towering peaks of the Annapurna range stood silently above us.
With every step, the landscape revealed something new. Endless stone staircases climbing higher and higher, long suspension bridges swaying above deep valleys, and forests of red rhododendrons coloring the mountainsides. The trails were both challenging and breathtaking, reminding us why Nepal has captured the imagination of trekkers and explorers for generations.
Somewhere along the way, the journey became more than the terrain. Now we understand what locals call the “Nepal state of mind.” We found it in the calm of the mountains, the kindness of the people, and the countless smiles that greet you along the trail.
Our first HIGHLANDER adventure in Nepal was more than just a new destination, it was a reminder of why we explore in the first place.
