Flying to space and exploring it used to be a child's dream turned reality for those extremely extraordinary. Now, it has become a possibility and a ''fun activity'' for those able to afford such hefty prices.
But what if humankind went a step further on Mars and tried to enjoy something billions of people love and experience on HIGHLANDER events here on Earth – hiking? What if Earth's blue seas and sky, evergreen forests, misty mountains, and all of its diverse natural beauty were replaced by the neverending red rocky landscape of Mars? Would we finally realize that we have a planet that's out-of-this-world when it comes to natural beauty and treasure?

The Earth's future is unclear, and the world needs an $8.1 trillion investment in nature by 2050 to tackle the triple planetary crisis - climate, biodiversity, and land degradation. Instead of pouring all our money and energy into saving the Earth, we’re normalizing spending up to $60 million for a seat on a commercial space flight that’s not only pricey but also very harmful to our planet.
HIGHLANDER Mars on Earth is an initiative to save the planet from ourselves, our hastily way of thinking and acting towards it to become united, more responsible, and respectful to it. Since HIGHLANDER is all about challenging the body, cleansing the soul through hiking, and being a part of changing millions of lives, the main focus of the HIGHLANDER Mars on Earth event, which will be organized on the island of Pag in Croatia on April 21-23, 2023, will be the mind. At the event, the participants will trek shorter routes and attend various educational lectures about environmental protection, mindfulness, and self-care in one of the most ''Mars looking locations'' on Earth.
Everyone can help the organization of HIGHLANDER Mars on Earth by donating to HIGHLANDER's crowdfunding campaign and indirectly helping preserve the Earth because 50% of all registrations for this event go to local initiatives for cleaning the Adriatic Sea and coast.
