We are thrilled to announce that registrations are officially open for the special 10th edition of HIGHLANDER Velebit, taking place from September 1 - 6, 2026!
Over the past decade, HIGHLANDER Velebit has become a bucket-list adventure for hikers from all over the world. For our milestone 10th edition, we are preparing something truly unforgettable - a celebration of the trail, the mountain, the sea, and the incredible community that makes HIGHLANDER so unique.
This special edition will feature four unique hiking formats, each offering a different way to experience the magic of Velebit:
- HIGHLANDER 5DAY (Hercules) - The ultimate adventure: a 100 km journey starting at Zavižan, passing through Northern Velebit National Park, along the iconic Premužić Trail, across Baške Oštarije, and through Ramino Korito and Panos into Paklenica National Park, finishing at the shores of the Adriatic Sea.
- HIGHLANDER 3DAY (Pegasus) - A shorter but equally breathtaking route that begins at Baške Oštarije and leads hikers through Panos and Veliko Rujno to Paklenica and the sea.
- HIGHLANDER 2DAY (Orion) - A 34 km adventure starting and finishing in Starigrad, taking participants on an unforgettable hike through the dramatic landscapes of Velika Paklenica.
- HIGHLANDER 1DAY (Lyra) - A true one-day challenge: a 24 km circular route from Starigrad that combines sea, canyon, and mountain in a single adventure.
Since the very first step on Velebit, HIGHLANDER has grown into a global hiking movement, but Velebit remains the heart and soul of the experience. This 10th edition is not only about conquering kilometers, it’s about celebrating ten years of friendships, stories, starlit nights, and the shared love of nature.
