After successfully organizing events across numerous European and global mountains and years of presence in the U.S., we at HIGHLANDER are thrilled to announce a new chapter: Saudi Arabia. With an already established presence in the United Arab Emirates, we’ve now expanded into Saudi Arabia, a region that left us in awe of its immense potential and breathtaking landscapes.
Our adventure began in the city of Abha, with a team of 30 members and ambassadors. From there, we explored the stunning Aseer region, hiking trails, uncovering hidden gems, and marveling at the pristine natural beauty. The diversity of landscapes we encountered was truly remarkable - lush forested areas at higher altitudes, rare plant species in the lower regions, and awe-inspiring views that left us speechless.
The journey took us to picturesque villages such as Rijal Aalma and Al Yanfa, where we were welcomed with incredible hospitality. Local delicacies, aromatic spices, and the rich tradition of Arabic coffee gave us a true taste of the region's vibrant culture. Our evenings were filled with traditional music and dance performances, immersing us further in the warmth of Saudi culture.
The mountainous region of Jabal Soudah offered challenging hikes to soaring peaks, where we enjoyed panoramic views of valleys and rivers below. The trails were alive with diverse flora, including resilient cacti and lush greenery. At lower altitudes, we ventured through forested paths, encountering monkeys freely moving through the trees - a unique and unforgettable sight.

The weather in Saudi Arabia added an unpredictable layer to our adventure. In just one day, we experienced scorching sun in the morning and pouring rain in the afternoon, showcasing the region’s dynamic climate and the thrill of hiking in such diverse conditions.
